Today I got to shake the hand of one of the last good men. And yeah, it got to me. So what if it was maybe 90 seconds, and he’ll never remember our little conversation? It still felt like, for a second, there was more in the world than just lies and grief.

Thanks, Al. For everything.

The New York Times has been writing about Los Angeles quite a bit lately.

There was a travel piece about great free things to do. There’s always lots of style reporting. And, bless them, they’re right out there with coverage of a serious L.A. problem: Having a house so beautiful people are always coming by to see it.

Of course, I can’t really blame them for writing about this stuff, when apparently the only thing going on in New York is, well, stabbings. 😉

(Yes, I’m talking to you, Newschlactmans.)
